I have the Bedtred and just for your info. it's black and not grey! It looks like a spray on liner but I can remove my bedtred and still have the original paint to show off, can you? It cost me less than $340 delivered and was the spray on color match more like $650 hmmm!

this is true, but what keeps dirt and water from building up under your bedtred? will the bedtred rub the paint off like most bedmats and plastic drop ins? ive only seen them in magazines, havent sold one yet. im not doubting they are a great product, there are advantages and disadvantages to every single product on the market.

The under layer of the Bedtred is felt so it won't rub the paint off unlike the grinder used to prep the bed for spray on. It's middle layer is a closed cell foam so it will not soak up and hold water. Bakflip or other bed cover and tailgate seal keeps the dirt and water out. To each his own! I just could never do the spray on because it's really only as good as the guy doing the work and in time it will crack, peel or fade. Yes they can repair to some extent but the older your spray on the harder it is to match the repair. Ten years from now if I pull my Bedtred the paint will look almost like new (and yes I've kept a truck for ten years before).

You can buy junk spray-on bedliner or you can buy high quality like LINE-X. It has a lifetime warranty against cracking and peeling and if you get LINE-X Premium or LINE-X Xtra, there's no fading.
