Bedrug light switch cutout

I’m installing my Bedrug and Retrax. So far it’s looking awesome. I easily took out the lights but I can’t figure out how to get the push button on/off switch off. Any help would be appreciated.

Take out the tail light and push it out from inside

Some folks leave it in place and put the carpet over.
Operate the switch pushing the carpet.
Mark the carpet where the button is at

On my F250 I cut a half oval from the bottom up, so I can fold the carpet back and push the button. I believe this method was explained in the instructions.

I installed the bed rug over the switch and installed a round piece of yellow Velcro (Home Cheapo) where the switch is.

I didn't know there was a switch, where is it? I have a 17.

I read that somewhere and I tried but it doesn't budge. I have the factory spray in liner so might be stuck to it. When i took the lights out I had to use a utility knife to get them out. I will try again this weekend. Thanks.
