Hi All,

Long time lurker first time poster. I am hopefully ordering my truck next week. It has been a bit of a tough go with my wife to get to this point. My raptor is going to have to be a daily driver and also our family rig. That means vacations, hockey gear in the back etc. My questions are the following. I need a rack for stand up paddleboards/surfboards while also having coverage for our clothes etc. For those of you with rack and bed covers, what works best. I need to keep the stuff in the back dry but dont want to have a hardtop if needed. The roofracks will only be on a few months of the year but need to hold 3 or 4 stand up paddle boards/surfboards AND keep everything under the cover dry. I don't want a suburban so please let me know if there is a good solution for what I need.

Thanks

Thanks, Orange Addict. How dry does your bed stay with the cover? Can you put suitcases and duffels in back and have them stay dry in a rain storm? Sorry for the newbie questions, had all hardtop 4wds in the past.

In the bak flips that I have owner I only get a bit of water around the tailgate if spraying water directly at it. Such as when I went through a car wash. I have been very very happy with mine. I know of three other truck owners who have had similar experiences. It is the best most versatile cover I have ever owned. I have seen the rack option on one and it was a lot more hefty than I thought it would be. The person I know with it is a roofer who uses the racks for ladders.

Thank you to Orange Addict and Morrie. I have figured out my solution. Roll X and Trac Rac racks with a bed rug-something I had not considered vs a spray in liner. Now I just need to get my truck ordered and delivered.

I have had good luck with the bakflip product. From what you are saying this would likely fit the bill but may be a bit expensive.

BakFlip Tonneau Cover - BAKFlip CS-F1

I know there are a couple of supporting vendors that would gladly hook ya up with a good price.

Have you carried Kayaks on your CS? How does it hold up at highway speeds? The Thule rack looks really sturdy but I would want something that works with a bed cover. Thanks!
