I've used the ford bedmat for 4 years now, have hauled quads, dirt bikes, gravel and furniture, it has held up beautifully!

Thanks all, my local Ford dealer had a F150 mat in stock. $120 later it's in my truck. Looks nice as it does match with the big F150 stamped in it.

My brother has a '13 with a spray and was moving a heavy desk in the back and caught one of those big hex screw and actually bent it back. Plus I've got a sled that I load once in awhile and the carbides in the skis catches the handle and plastic cover. I'm thinking a bed rug would prevent this.

Does a bed rug cover the tailgate handle then? How does that work?

edit: Bedrug goes around handle.

I got a spray-in liner and then put a BedRug Mat on top of it. I'm very happy with the results.

Nick, ditto to the Line-X and BudRug mat on top of it....works awesome with my A.R.E. shell. My issue has been the water and dirt that get sucked up between the tailgate and bed as I drive down the road, which is why I am considering the BedRug Full Bedliner since it continues out over the tailgate.

Conversely, the Line-X is dirty looking. I currently have one of those 'gaskets' and am not happy with the fit.

the way i see it, i will use my truck. when (if ever) the time comes to sell or trade, i will linex it. that way its new for the new owner

Ditto on the first part, so I put a bedrug in from day 1, so the bed looks like new for me, and it will look like new for the next owner down the road. I have a rubber mat I usually keep in there on top of the bedrug for hauling more dirty crap just so it's easier to keep the bedrug clean.

You can have your cake & eat it too! Bed looks like new now, and down the road I can actually sell the mat and bedrug separately, and make money, and still sell the truck with a brand new looking bed, rather than having to spend money when selling it to make the bed look new again.
