We use 5050 style led's with the most led's that can fit on a strip. The lengths are around 5' and includes 2 strips, (one for each side of the under rails on bed). The wiring included is heat resistant and moisture proof.
They are SUPER Bright!!!
We also don't use the factory 3M tape as it's pretty doesn't adhere to itself less another substance. We add our own that is used on NASA space suites.
Installation:
1. Clean affected area under side rails needs to be cleaned with alcohol.
2. Remove super sticky backing tape.
3. Adhere lighting strips and run wires through factory top hole towards tail lights.
4. Remove tail light and tap power (ground is black / yellow/black is positive)
5. Turn on lights to verify everything works.
Switches can be added if you do so wish for those that don't want them on all the time.

Can we have some more info? I'd like to see what kind of leds they are and how they mount! Can these mount to Line-X coated beds? Thanks!

We've done several beds that have bedliners (different types) and the heavy duty tape we include will adhere and hold up. From what I've been told from our rep there isn't a stronger tape out there that I know of.
