Hi all,

Now that I have my Undercover Flex installed I will be using the bed of my truck a lot more. With the cover on it would be really nice if everything stayed near the end of the bed so it will be easier to take out again.

I like that it collapses against the sides so I don't have to take the whole thing off if I want to carry something bigger. I don't plan on using it much as an extender since I don't haul big stuff with the Raptor since that is what my 250 is for, so I would mostly be using it to keep stuff from sliding foreword.

I was wondering how many of you guys had the Ford bed extender? Did you get it with the truck, or did anyone get one from the dealer after delivery? How well does it work, and is it worth it?

Thanks,
Marc

I know there's a lot of people here that don't like the OEM bed extender, but personally I like it a lot. I use it folded inward and to tie stuff to all the time. It still takes a up about 6" of space on the sides when it's totally stowed, but it takes all of 2 minutes to totally remove it if need be using a torx wrench.

As an extender it works better than most of the aftermarket ones because not only does it lock in place to keep it from swiveling, but it also has a rod that goes into the tailgate so it does a nice job of keeping the tailgate from jumping around (although I wouldn't do any off-roading or anything with it folded out)

Probably my only complaint about it is that mine seem to have gotten some water in them. Obviously they're plastic so I don't think it's hurting anything, and I could drill a drain hole if I cared that much. Well worth the $250 or whatever it was when I bought the truck.

Great thanks!! Yea according to the ford accessories website from my dealer it would be $328, I haven't tried to call my dealer guy to see if I can get any discount from him. I think it will come in really handy, and yea mine will be in 90% of the time.

I took mine off and sold it within a few days of picking up my truck. I just didn't see an use for it like someone else would. Post a WTB thread, you may get someone like me who doesn't have an use for it and you can get it for cheaper. I sold mine for $200 and it was basically brand new.
