How the hell do you get them to fit. I was able to get 1 in, but the rest seem to not fit at all. The "groove" in the cleat just doesnt seem to work with the plate.. Any suggestions are welcome.

Yeah...mine had to have some "persuasion"....they are in there now and have never removed them and don't plan to...

I had to use a utility knife to scrape away part of the "seam" on the cleat where the metal from the bed should slide into it. Once I did that, I was able to persuade it to go in with a couple rubber mallet taps.

If brute force is not working, you’re not using enough of it.

Seriously, I used a file and knife to trim the plastic. I never plan to remove them. So much for the modular bed system.
