Tried wiring these. Bought the extension to use on the Aux but I’m pretty sure I didn’t do something right.

Manual said yellow/violet for Aux 6, but when I did that, my led in the bed latch, started to flicker with the truck on. No power to the lights after I wired them and the bundle of Aux wires were unmolested when I first tried to hook them up. Ugh.

Purchased these from off-road Alliance and have a 2018 SCREW

A 2018 uses Green/Orange as f150jack pointed out, for Aux 6.

Your HOT upfitter wires will be on the RIGHT SIDE of the 2 main cables. On the passenger side where your upfitter wires are, there are 2 cable bundles that plug into a harness. Just below these on the left will be a bundle of upfitters and on the right side will also be a bundle of upfitters (same colors within each bundle)

The left ones, are pass throughs, which just go into the truck under the passenger kick-well/fuse area.
The right ones, those are the hot ones, which deliver power. That's what you need to use (Green/Orange) to provide power to the reverse lights.

Surprised you had no instructions with your additional harness on how/where to connect the wires.

Very helpful. No instructions but I did watch a YouTube video. I will try this and let you know.

So the Ford manual is wrong? This is crazy.

Yeah sure is. I knew that going into my own install and I STILL tried to follow the Ford manual. But it's still wrong (as of 2nd half of 2018 builds anyway). Maybe in 2019 they got it right, who knows.

There’s a great YouTube video on our channel that walks you through installation/wiring of the S2 reverse kit and our wiring extension. As far as Ford getting their owners manual correct, that’s a bit out of our control.

Everyone is also welcome to give us a call for any troubleshooting.

Quick question: I am going to get these lights in the next month or so but seem to remember that on my '19 there are only hook-ups for aux 5 & 6 in the engine compartment and the rest are under the dash? When I order the lights I will obviously break out the manual but not for colors, thanks

All the 2019s we’ve worked on have had all aux switches wires accessible under the hood.

When you’re ready for lights, we’d be happy to help get you whatever you’re looking for!
