So I've used some of these Baofeng handhelds. They are chinese made like the Wouxuns, but much cheaper. We used them at our race this weekend with good luck. I'm fixing to order a bunch for TRR. If you were on the fence about a radio, this is a good, cheap option for the event. $65 each if you prepay to [email protected]. $75 each at the event. They are dual band, so they cover VHF, and UHF. Will cover all the freqs used by other Raptor Events.

Model: Baofeng Handheld (Model number varies, but they are the same 5 watt radio). Will use the same hand mics as Wouxuns.

Price: $65 presale. $75 at the event. Presale deadline is Monday April 15th. Send payment to [email protected] with a note that it's for the Baofeng handheld.

It's a cheap Chinese handheld. I've gotten different models in the same order. Ill find one. They aren't bad units. Cost vs value is really really high.

Know how long they will last when on and can you charge it on a 12V hook up in the truck? My 2010 doesn't have 110.

I don't know it depends on how much you talk on it. We used them at the race
Day. Not much talking though.
