I asked SVC at the end of November about it. They told me they need to get a hold of one to run some bench flow tests to get a proper tune.

SVC tune is next on my list. I hope they get a flow test done soon.

Looks like a 70's ram-air scaled down. Is there clean air where it's "mouth" is?

I like it. Hopefully filtration is as good as other brands.

SVC just recommends the stock intake.

I know an aftermarket one isn't going to get much gain, but it adds a little sound, has a reusable filter, looks cool, and does add a tiny bit of performance. For a couple hundred bucks it's worth it IMO.

Wouldn't "ram air" be "ram water" in a good heavy rain? If the filter gets wet, it'll lose its filtration characteristics until it is dried out.
