Baja mode for daily commute?

Inspired by freshly taken Assault course - what is the downside (besides probably worse fuel economy) of driving in baja mode all the time everywhere in 2H?

If I am not mistaken Baja mode limits the ABS so you lock up and dig in to stop quicker in the sand, that might not be a good idea on the road.

Wonder what the Baja suspension mode would be like hitting potholes, would it be too stiff, or would it soak them up better than normal mode?

Baja mode raises the threshold for when the airbags go off. Along with tweaks to other nanny modules. Not advisable.

But you can rock the baja exhaust mode all you want!

Try Sport mode and change the exhaust to Baja. Might give you some of the Baja feeling in a road friendly mode. Seems to hold a gear longer and then downshifts while braking. Fun in the canyons.

Put the suspension in Baja while in sport mode. Feels like you are floating down the highway.

I live in Chicago so the pot holes are pretty horrible here. I set my R button up for Quiet Exhaust, Sport Steering and Baja suspension. It might all be placebo effect, but I find the ride much better on the city surface streets and then I switch back to normal mode once I am on the highway.

Who really knows though, just an idea I had and it is working for me.
