I wouldn't use those with stacked cases. I'd be too afraid that one of the two boxes would shift and one would squirt out when that thing flexed. Those are pretty neat though, I've never seen them before.

The bungee is fairly tight. And the safety strap bypasses it. So you tighten till you tighten bypass. Bungee maintains the torque if something shifts. Now whether it will stand a week in Mexico I do not know

Surprised you like RTIC. The zippers are the worst design ever and I’m not convinced any RTIC product has the cold holding power of Yeti. My RTIC stuff is in the garage collecting dust. Great marketing; crappy products IMO.

So far so good. Have not had a quality issues at all. I use a soft side cooler every day as a lunch bucket. 3+ years and counting.

Got a friend at Pelican that says they are releasing a new bed box in April. The box is going to have tie down mounts and mounting points so it doesnt need to be bolted in. Im going to wait and see

Orca coolers held ice longer than approximately a dozen coolers tested, it even beat the Yeti. It came in as number one for retaining ice and is built very well.

+1 and myth confirmed.
I hauled fresh fish back from OBX in Lucille’s bed in triple digit heat. 7 hours later I still had fresh fish and a cooler 3/4 full of ice with -some- very cold water. It stayed ice for 4 days outside the whole time, in summer. I refilled it again just because and kept it inside. I gave up after a week, it was still ice.

it was also expensive as ****.

Also, mine’s built pretty damn solid, I’m inclined to believe it would hold up on part with the yeti, etc and Orca isn’t a 2A sellout like yeti.
