In case any of you guys have Rigid or China flush mount LED Pods, and want to convert over to Baja Designs, their dual sport faceplates work great for that purpose. Just drill 4 holes and they'll bolt right up to your existing hole cut in your bumper, tailgate, etc...

my experience following trucks on runs in dust and snow mist, the Squadron is a better solution than the S2 for rear amber dust light. I have a pair of S2 pros in my bumper, but a single higher mounted Squadron Sport, which I believe is more effective on the runs. My $.02

Not sure if this was in reply to my post, but these flush mounted lights are Squadron Pro's, not S2's. They're intended to be used for reverse lights. I have another Squadron Pro with an amber lens mounted higher up as a rear facing dust light.

No, not directed at you. Just a general comment since there was discussion of S2's as rear dust ambers. Dig your setup, and appreciate that you posted up, as i didn't realized BD made a flush squadron. As you mentioned a great upgrade for the flush dually or knockoff guys.

Similar setup, flush mounts in bumper for added backup lighting daily, and higher mounted squadron. Run the amber cover to allow for the option of more clear rear light if needed. Been meaning to pickup some amber lenses for the s2's to swap in for runs.

I think the s2's do work well for that purpose, but on higher speed runs I was just noting the squadron, even the lower (cheaper too:biggrin:) sport model squadrons are a bit more helpful to those behind you.

I'm a semi broken record on the topic, but seeing the rear ambers of the next guy in the dust gives me that much more peace of mind on runs. Really cant go wrong with the BD stuff, all top quality pieces and tons of light

Totally agree RE rear facing amber visibility. Nothing irks me more than someone without one, or an under powered one. I'm not trying to rearend someone in the dirt because they're too cheap to spend $150-$200 on a decent rear facing amber!

It's funny, I was actually worried that a Squadron Pro was gonna be too obnoxious as a rear facing amber, but now I think I'll keep it as is.

So BD does make a flush mount squadron, but the faceplate is much smaller than the faceplates I'm running. The ones I'm running are intended to be used for a headlight on a motorcycle, but luckily the dims worked so guys can use them with their existing holes from a Rigid or a Dually knockoff light.

Alaskan Klee Kai... being half the size, sheds half as much ;)

Might be going to a frame cut bumper, if anyone is in the market for a 40" Arc Hi-Power

I have one as well... I'm not sure he knows that he's only supposed to shed half as much... He blows his coat twice a year... for about 6 months each time...

On an thread related note - is anyone running the BD rock lights? I want to add rock lights (primarily for light around camp) and I'm trying to get some ideas of how many to run and where to put them.
