Not sure what that means. I think it needs to tie into the amber marker lights, just not sure where people are doing so......

I doesn't 'need' to tie in to the marker lights. It just needs a 12v input. If you want it to come on with the marker lights, then yes you would tie into them. That could be anywhere convenient, I plan on building a break-out harness.

I guess I should have been more clear about what I was trying to do. I would like them to be on when the marker lights are on. I was looking to know if there was a particular area that people were using to tie into the marker lights that is more convenient than at one of the marker lights. Also, there is a yellow and white wire connected to the marker lights, not sure which to connect to. Thanks for your input.

Does the fog light kit have the same feature as the 30" S8 light bar with the amber backlight that you can tie into the OEM parking lights? Thought i saw a picture on here with the fogs and light bar amber backlights on with the running lights but cant find it.

I would also like the amber lights on my S8 to go on whenever the other amber running lights are on. I currently have them on a switch because I don't know where to tie them in.

Ok. I figured it out. I tapped into the passenger side marker light which is easy since there is plenty of wire/room when the fender is unclipped. This area is accessible when installing the s8. I also changed the marker lights to be on with the DRL's via FORSCAN. There are two bolts that need to come out on the underside of the fender. A yellow clip on the front of the fender that needs to be unclipped. The yellow wire on the marker light is the one to tap into. I ran the wire under the fender liner into the engine compartment. b22a6c4bb7a287bf17acbb6ad64175c8.jpg0839ee65eaa5753b58a8f3c536ca6535.jpg6ba4ff3f77070d4a797da85c45a60915.jpgb4866b7dafedb383f829bceb1daa1fec.jpg

The Squadron and S2 Series do NOT have the Amber Backlit Feature. Only our S8 LED Light Bar has that at this time.

Okay, so I installed my S8 30 inch light bar over the weekend. To be honest, it was a real pain in the ass. The directions are not great, but enough so that you can work through the process. If anyone is looking for just one extra light to supplement their OEM lights, I totally recommend the Onx6 high power. It is so much easier to install and adjust by just popping off the lower Grill fascia. The S8 kit in its current configuration for the 2017 is, in my opinion, flawed. How can you have a light bar that you can't adjust once it's installed? You have to hope you set the correct angle while the whole front grill fascia is laying on the ground? As Baja Designs said in a previous post, you have to disassemble everything and readjust it. No F'ing way! I was determined to find an easier way and here is my solution.

1. Here's the problem- no access to adjustment bolts on each side of the light bar (pic 1).
2. Take heavy duty wire cutters (pic 2)
3. Do some careful trimming (pic 3)
4. Do some careful filing, a little sharpie touch up, and you're done (pic 4 and 5).

My bar was aimed too far down and this "fix" allows me to correctly adjust it.
Hope this helps anyone w/the 2017 S8 light bar kit. And unless someone points it out, the modification isn't even noticeable.

If they would improve their installation instructions, perhaps even do a youtube video, it would be much easier. They must not read this forum as the instructions issue has been pointed out before.

Anyone thought of taking a dremel to the top portion of the grill and integrating a 40" bar? Not 100% sure if it would fit, would be close, but it would look clean and would reduce the loss of light output by being behind the grill.

Thought about it for the adapt lightbar but opted not to do it when I figured out how big it was.
