It is under the foremost cup holder. During my delivery the dealer showed me that is where you insert the key fob should the battery die in the fob. Pull up the liner. You will see it.

This is also where you have to put the FOB if you want to program "MyKey." Which, I tried out and HATED. No idea what the benefit of MyKey is...

MyKey is a program designed by Ford with the intentions of keeping inexperienced drivers safe. It's programmable and can limit the top speed, limit the radio volume, and even mute the radio until the seat belt is buckled.

Backup key only opens the door and glovebox...no start feature

My key can be used for valet too I guess. I tried it and it limits off road modes to normal and one other, automatically does a host of other shit that is set up for your teenage daughter (if you would ever give her your truck) I can't get back the fifteen minutes I wasted messing with it, BUT I did learn the spot under the drink holder does indeed work.
