Did a trip to Borrego Springs / Anza about a week ago between the storms that are rolling thru CA. We just bummed around the area and tried to see as much as we could: Sonny Bono preserve, Anza, Julian and generally explored the area. The last day we got rain so didn't go offroad. One highlight was to get to do my 1st recovery of a stuck vehicle coming back from Fonts Point. Some dude took his wife and parents (80s) and got them stuck in a little FWD POS. The entire ordeal should have taken 15 mins, but it was a major pain to find a recovery point on that thing since he was pretty buried. I eventually found the rear point and did a quick bump to yank them out.
