Having said that, I have noticed that the throttle is very laggy if you put the truck in 'weather' mode. I have found that if you just leave it in normal mode and just turn the dial to 4A, the throttle responiveness goes back to normal.

Throttle response is intentionally dialed back in weather mode to prevent wheel spin.

If you're driving in normal conditions it's best to just hit sport mode, turn the knob to AWD and hold on tight!

I wrote Ford and asked this combo to be put in the development pipeline as a new terrain mode called "HEMI Smoker."

Yeah, there’s a reason for that weather mode dialing back the throttle hit.

I was passing the ‘abandon all hope, it’s raining and I’m driving a prius’ peasants in a genuine downpour last Friday night. I finally managed to get up to about 50 and found what seemed like a wall of ‘Pete’s sipping, menthol vaping peasants in priuses’ doing about 30.

I was in sport / 4a, my of late default, so I passed with prejudice in the ponding water. H*ly cr@p Lucille is a genuine handful. all 4 wheels spun the whole time I passed that latte spilling, urban hipster scum. full disclosure : I run a pedal commander in city +1.

I got some dash light warnings, probably traction control. Meh. As I exited the interstate I said to myself - and Lucille, maybe I’ll give weather mode a 2nd look.

Lucille?

I don't know if I'd leave it on full time. I've noticed it will engage under moderate acceleration and if that happens while turning, it suddenly it gets a lot harder to steer and the truck wants to go straight. I have the torsion though. Maybe that's why?
