All about being first. I remember when the SRT8 "new" challenger came out. 35K ADM on those.
the gt500 KR had that too in the late 2000s, started at 79k (which is insane considering that time) and adm was tacked on from like 15-40k over. One near me wanted more and more, but then it ultimately sat until the priced dropped to msrp, but different times i guess.

Seems now people dont care as much and have the cash to blow

I think a lot of if is the flip market. Back then these were collectors paying over. Now I see them on bidding sites. The lighting, rivian, and bronco were daily auctions for a while. All with no reserve of course.

funny how GM tried to crack down on that by voiding the warranty, but dealers can still basically double the msrp on adm on the hummer and c8s.

well said. im in the same boat, i will pay msrp or maybe slightly above but them asking almost exotic car prices for a truck is ridicilous. at this point im already considering the trx, or new raptor with 37s but i just hate to have a newer truck with the same motor.
Fully loaded TRX is still around $110,000 right? Basically coming down to finding a no/low premium on the R.

Offered multiple R for 145–155 I just can’t stomach spending 170k+ after taxes/fees. I have a few exotics and all cars have gone up a lot in the last 5 years. For example I was offered The new Ferrari SUV starts at nearly $500k which is just too much for a family SUV. Just wait until the raptor is an EV I bet they start at 120k

if you don’t get a r don’t settle for a 37. hate to admit if

not even the same comparison. nothing special about a bronco, lightning or rivian as they will be MASS PRODUCED FOR YEARS TO COME With unlimited Allocations (very easy to find). If I must make a prediction the R will be very limited with a 2-3 year production cycle with approximately 7-12k units produced then when the trx is over ford will end the R shortly after as they are itching to go 100% electric .. The R will go down in off road truck history as the Best Ever off the show room floor factory baja rig that has the glorious v8 music many have dreamed of since the prehistoric gen1 days with supercar performance and people will pay whatever price if they really want it end of story…. my 2 cents

simple economics mate:
Low supply = extreme demand
can’t pay don’t play

mark my word. most 98% of buyers will never touch a r for msrp. i have only seen 2 do it to date and they had very close ties to the dealer
