5 star's dyno can't show 450 at the crank because they use a chassis dyno. The factory claim of 450hp is the baseline used by all tuners. You are correct that all dyno's are going to give different readings. Even within the same type and brand of dyno the readings can be different. They all have a +/- accuracy factor. With that in mind either ford's rating of 450 is under rated or the drivetrain is extremely efficient.

this is my last post regarding this since we are getting no where. You need to take ford's 450hp number, and throw it away, it is meaningless in this thread, period.

You are missing my point. I am well aware of dynos and parasitic loss. You are assuming that the truck that 5 star dyno'd would put down EXACTLY 450HP at the crank on the dyno that 5 star used. My point is, you can not compare different dynos, parasitic loss has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

If you take the SAME truck to 5 different dynos you will get 5 different sets of numbers. So again, you are assuming 5 star's dyno would show 450HP at the crank when in fact, it clearly does not.

This is why we have standards like SAE.

As for the potential of PCM having a break in phase, i did confirm with other 17 owners who thought they felt more power after 1500-2000mi. I plan to return to same dyno after 2k to confirm

Looks like 5 star is making good use of their demo truck. The Screw that made the 477rw was on pull # 194

I have the SCT X4, AFE Intake and UPR catch cans on order. I spoke with Chris over at 5star and he says the tunes on the Raptor are a night and day difference. Should have the UPR catch cans and the SCT X4 in hand in a few days but will have to wait on SCT consumer release for the tunes. Also have to wait on AFE for the intake.
Chris called it a silent assassin. Sounds like good news to me.

Thanks for the update, so to confirm there is no consumer handheld tune option at the moment? Did he give any rough ETA for availability?

Correct and this is what I gathered from Chris. He said that he believes that it will be fairly soon that they will be available. And when they are they will be able push out their custom tunes to us. I will be shipped my SCT X4 to pull my ECU codes and will get them back to 5star. Then it will be waiting on SCT and as soon as they release they will email the custom tunes back to me.

Ill be running a 5 star tune with the SCT X4, AFE intake, and PDP turbo adapters. Sounds like it will be a monster. Just waiting now!

Nice setup. So do you have the PDP turbo adapters on now? Did you install? Tell any difference?

I attempted the install on jackstands, but the studs arent coming out without a torch and the exhaust isnt coming out without a lift, so I buttoned it back up. hopefully will have a friend help me install them this weekend.

They are fairly easy to get to, but without a torch and an extra hand, the studs arent budging, even with only like 300 miles on them.
