It seems we have now introduced the question of BLIS, Cross Traffic, and Backup Warning functionality with the "Unplugged Option". Can someone please confirm?

I liked the autostartstop plug and play option. I rolled with the plug pulled out for a long time but always forgot to plug it back in when towing and then always forgot to pull it out after I was done towing. I also liked that when I have to go to the dealer for service I just turned it back on. Yep a little pricey for it but it was well worth it for me got no complaints been working great.

(edit) I did not write this up intending to be an ad for the Autostop Eliminator, but reading it I can see where it might come across that way. I am not connected to the company that makes this device in any way, I am just a, so far, satisfied user.

What really confuses me is why Ford puts what appears to be an override in the Settings menu of the vehicle, seemingly a software switch you can select to turn this on or off, but that switch seems to do nothing. In reality it is nothing more than a software version of the hardware switch on the dash.

The start stop in the settings menu is unrelated to the engine start stop. The menu setting is related to the Adaptive Cruse.

Could we be talking about different years? My 2018 does not have full stop ACC. There are two places in the menu that mention AutoStop or AutoStartStop. In the vehicle monitoring display there is one that indicates the current condition of the dashboard switch. In the Settings menu there is an AutoStop setting that, as near as I can tell, does nothing. Like I said, this appears to do nothing, but then again I am not sure what it is supposed to do. I know when I turn it off the vehicle does not appear to do anything different, and the next time I fire the vehicle back up it is back on.

Same here. My early 2017 SCREW has the same settings and does the same thing. I do not have Full Stop ACC either.

Page 118 of the Owners Manual states;

Auto StartStop - Shows the current status of the Auto StartStop system.

It is not a switch.

In the Vehicle Monitoring screen the Auto StartStop (this is the one you are referencing) is a status indicator, as I said a few posts above. That one you cannot select, it just tells you what your dash button is set to. But in the Settings menu there is an AutoStop selection, you can check and uncheck that one. But, at least on my truck, that does not appear to do anything, and it returns to the checked condition when you restart the vehicle.
