Can someone confirm whether this is an issue or operating as designed? 2020 Gen2, Sync3 - System is "on" and "Auto Climate" is turn ON; adjusting the temperature to less the outside temperature (90-degrees outside / interior set to 72-degrees) SHOULD turn AC compressor on to cool vehicle. Mine does not - only way to get cold air (AC compressor on) is to have the AC button active (lit). Talked to several service departments and either they do not know or was given several differing opinions/thoughts.

Normal operation. You need to manually turn the A/C button on if you want that system to operate. Otherwise, in the scenario you outlined, it will simply set the blend doors to full cold position and flow ambient air.

THANK YOU... appreciate the quick and concise response. Just seems to be contrary to owner's manual... "press and release auto button.... system adjusts blower motor, speed, air distribution, air conditioning operation, and outside or recirculated air ... "
