Audio Problem

Greetings,

My 2013 Raptor is only 7000 miles. All is OK except the radio/audio system. From time to time as I listen to the music I hear the audio sound been distorted. In other words the normal sound is muffled and there is no more high pitch. This stays for a while then comes in and out. This happens regardless of what I listen to but only on the radio. If I listed to a CD or USB the sound is OK.

Anybody else noticed this - and if yes - what is the solution?

you could be switching from HD radio and back. its an auto tune function. when there is HD radio available, it will switch to it, and when the signal is gone, it changes back.

I understand but why this is happening even when I am stopped at a light or not moving. Plus I do not drive in an area where HD is hard to get. This back-and-forth switch is very annoying and is creating a lot of distortion in the audio quality. I have other vehicles and they DO NOT do anything similar. Any option to get rid of it?

i never got into this issue. mine did it a lot that i just never listen to the radio anymore. its an auto tune feature so i doubt there is a way to turn it off. our tuners are very crappy
