The Roush and Whipple chargers are both designed as twin intercooled systems which includes an intercooler core built into the head unit and a front mount Heat exchanger style cooler. The front mount heat exchanger catches air as your driving down the road and cools the fluids passing through inside. The cooler the fluids stays the cooler the air temperature inside your Supercharger manifold will stay. This is were your power is made and lost. If the Air temp in the manifold is too high (warmer outside temps) your computer will pull timing in order to prevent detonation or failure. When this happens a dramatic lose in power is noticed. Why lose a big portion of the power your paid for, get it back now by adding this larger Heat Exchanger unit!
Dual cooling fans are added to the AFCO unit in order to provide cooler air temps even while the truck isn't moving! Say your stuck in traffic or the truck is idling. If you ever monitored the Intake temps you will notice they sky rocket during these conditions due to lack of flow. With the dual auxilary fans added to the heat exchanger this will never be a problem again! The fans are also mounted on the back side of the unit so they won't block flow!
