Well I pulled the weight off and ... the glue hasn't cured. Doesn't even look like it did anything. I used up the rest of my glue under the front edge and re-weighted it. I left the back unweighted. Maybe the glue needs to dry as opposed to cure. We'll see.

I’m out in Utah right now. The adhesive isn’t cutting it. Shoe goo around the edges? A quart of Weldwood red and a couple of rollers? What should plan B be?

yes. weldwood contact cement. we use it a lot. apply on both sides and wait 15 min until its dry. then stick the two sides together. its permanent.

I went for it today. Half a gallon of Weldwood red, a couple of disposable rollers, and I don't think it's going anywhere.
