I really hope the fine people at Aries see your posts and writeup and fabricate this bar for the Raptor. While keeping the tow points intact.

So I was staring at it last night, and Chad's setup came to mind (http://www.svtoffroad.com/showthread.php?123-My-new-lights). By dropping the skid plate, I can probably run two lights up top, and two below (LED bar?). Also those tabs... they look like they might support two small fog lights perfectly.

I'm pretty sure the plate is probably staying off, in favor of lights and hopefully a hitch.

J,
The look is growing on you isn't it? haha. and funny you mention putting a LED bar on it. I just so happen to have a photoshop I did of your truck with a 30" RI bar on it. (made it this morning). Its probably not proportionate since i dont know the exact measurement of the bar the light will be mounted on, but it gives you a good idea. ( has to be at least 32" to fit the LED bar)

Well the 20" lightbar should fit if the 30" won't. It's about 23+" wide and it's a bunch of money less than the 30"er so at least you can blame Nacho for costing you and thank me for saving you :D

HAHA. Just throwing the ideas out there. At least Dan chimed in with an alternative. What is the measurement of that section anyway? I am actually doubtful that the 30 incher will fit anyways. Could be a tight fit. Possibly on the bottom part.

Across the top, there's a comfortable 26" available (at about a 3" height off the top of the bar; where the LED bar's top corners would potentially interfere with the vertical bars as they taper inward)

Across the bottom, there's a comfortable 30" available (right at the bar, since the vertical bars taper away from that point)

Thanks for the measurements. I was going to say that too, be sure to measure about 3 inches from the bar in consideration of the top corner. SO with those numbers, you will be running a 20" , like Dan suggested. Saves you and I a bit of dough. All I need now is for Aries to fabricate one of those bad boys for the Raptor.

Mounting lights on the bottom doesn't sound like a good idea to me mainly because of potential damage. I'm confident that you could put them here and they'd be fine, especially the LED lightbar, but you also get a better beam pattern with them up higher. I'm not saying you should go A-team or anything just something to consider. Also, I would only use those LED light bars for fog/wide beam patterns. I might consider a combo but probably not. These lights are proven to have less distance than HId spotlights. They do, however, seem to potentially have better coverage for a wide/driving/fog pattern. It's hard to compare when we aren't talking about a specific lightbar compared to a specific set of lights. I have a hard time thinking that you would be disapointed with 2 Light Force HID 240's with combo lenses sitting on top of that bull bar.
