Are the Rough Country fog lights good?

This are ridged they were 650 on sale, they have the amber behind the white light and all amber , I wires mine for amber on all and white light per switch for three pairs , very happy with them

I bought my 2019 with rough country fogs already installed. That work great with good light output.

I had a variety of Rough Country lights on my Raptor and liked them.

• Switch #1: Rough Country Lights in the bumper (Two Pair of Rough Country 3” Wide Angle OSRAM LED Lights, One Pair of Rough Country 2” Square Cree LED Lights) Mounted with the Rough Country Light Bracket for the Raptor
• Switch #2: Rough Country 12” Cree LED Light Bar (Dual Row) in the middle of the bumper/Rough Country 30” LED Hidden Grill Light Bar
• Switch#3: 5" Round LED’s Mounted with ZROADZ Brackets on the hood
• Switch #4: EMPTY
• Switch #5: EMPTY
• Switch #6: Rough Country LED Light Bar mounted between the bumper and the receiver hitch

In short, no. The rough country fog lights are chinese spot lights. You can get the same lights and brackets from amazon for nearly half the price if youre into "oh i have LED fog lights now" and thats about it.

Go with Vision X or BD for actually useful lights.

I had a rough country 30" bar behind the grill of my gen 2. It wasn't meant for max performance, I just wanted something in there. It got completely smoked by two XL80s. I think if you want/need the absolute best for a zone go with BD, but if you need a back up light or something that doesn't need to perform all that well rough country is pretty good. The 30" bar I had was certainly a lot brighter than the typical 100 dollar ultra low end stuff off amazon for comparison. If you're buying a fog light that you actually want to use on the street, the BD SAE fog would be the best choice period...IMO.

I’m admittedly a BD fan but if you are going to go with a cheap Chinese light, in my experience, Rough Country is one of the better options. I used a 30” RC on a previous f150 and for the money it was good. Not much distance compared to BD, but it was good for what I paid.

If you have realistic expectations you will likely be more satisfied. That being said it is really hard to beat Baja Designs for the quality of hardware, quality of light, usefulness of their patterns, and even resale value of them if you sell the truck or change setups

Yup that was my opinion on my 30" RC as well. It was bright, much brighter than the really crappy bars, but the pattern and throw can't compare. I wasn't using that bar to see 3 miles away, just as a high beam helper on the back roads.

I traded the Raptor in on a TRX back in August of 2021. My brother has the same square Rough Country lights in the bumper of his Colorado that I had on the Raptor for a few years now with zero issue. He uses them every day when he goes to work (he leaves his house before 3am and lives out in the woods). For the price they are hard to beat.
