I plan on using the same credit union I used for my 2014 - got 72 months at 1.79% @ UHCU, they are very pleasurable to deal with too. Much better rates and service than my own bank who I have been with for too long and has my mortgage.

Where do you see those rates? Penfed shows 2.74% for 72 and USAA shows 2.49% for 72

USAA shows you based on your credit profile, at least for me they did. Thats also with the discounts for 1.99

PenFed if you call them can do one based on your individual credit as well.

Gotcha, I may have to call them. I don't have accounts with them. I was looking at the pre-login rates page where they say "as low as......."

Nope, nothing to do with your credit, 2.49 is USAA's current best rate for a 72 month loan. It drops to 1.99 if you use their car buying service, but you have to meet all the criteria which can be difficult on a factory order and I wouldn't factor it into your planning. The advertised CBS discount is only good through the offer period and doesn't lock with your rate, so when you're factory ordering a vehicle it can change between when you place the order and when you finalize the sale - happened to me last year when I ordered my wife's car in January and was approved at 1.29 on a 36 month loan including the CBS discount but ended up with 1.54 when the car showed up in February. I was mildly annoyed to find out the day of the sale that USAA had reduced the discount to .25 during that period and there was nothing I could do about it. A week later, the discount was back at .5 where it normally is...go figure. Still love USAA.

Also, obviously, the discount only applies if you actually use CBS and have the proper paperwork with a participating dealer on an included model. Last I checked the Raptor isn't an included model.

My dealer said he had financing in the 2's and I plan on using his company or Ford Credit. If I don't like the rate, I can refinance afterwards. We are using a credit union now through my wife's work and it's a little more of a hassle because the location is inconvenient.

State Farm Credit Union

I looked at State Farm, apparently you have to be an employee or relative of an employe to get in on their auto loan rates. Did you happen to find a way around that? (or are you inside that criteria).

As for the USAA conversation, the raptor is an included model and getting the rate locked is in a risk, as noted above. I had no problem with my last factory order getting the full discount rate. To each his own experience.
