Cruise up the Colorado River from near Yuma to the upper edge of Picacho State Recreation Area. Camp overnight, then paddle back downriver in a one- or two-person kayak, stopping at sites of interest along the way. Bring your own camping gear, but kayaks and meals will be provided. A day-trip option is also available.

While they're on the river we'll be in the desert. Destination not yet determined - could be Vegas area or Anza-Borrego Desert State Park & Ocotillo Wells. Stay tuned for details.

I camped there a lot when I was a kid...took a motorhome and boat down a 20+ mile dirt road. Real cool campground especially when it's not hot out. I was thinking of making a trip.out.this way one weekend this winter.
