Anyone with rear gen 2 shocks on a gen 1?

Has anyone replaced their rear shocks with gen 2 shocks (rear only). If so have you pushed them off road and has it caused any issues, What was the performance like, what is your personal opinion of how they performed. I'm in need of a rebuild or 3.0's however I dont want to spend 2k on oem replacements.

They will bolt right in, but from my preliminary measurements, you need about 1"-1.5" taller bump stops or you will bottom out the longer bodied shocks. I found there's no additional droop, so you lose some travel on stock springs.
