Hijacking a thread here: I have the same deal but located in Northern California! San Jose, CA to be exact.

Anybody want the In-vehicle safe by console vault for $230

Dealership didn’t install it. That was the whole reason I bought it from them, the convenience of having it already done. Since it’s in a box and I’ll be installing myself I’m going with a safe from Lock’r Down. The electronic lock is a big selling feature for me. Easier/quicker access especially while driving.

I don't wish to debate the efficacy the console safe, but for those who are thinking of getting one I'll opine on my experience. I've had "one" in the past. While it was nice to be able to lock things up, it was a PITA every time I needed something simple. You have to open the console lid, dial a combination, (while driving) and then open a second lid to get a pen. Not to mention that the safe's opening is much smaller making it harder to find things, plus with the safe you have no top tray to hold the small items.
As for safety, thieves will just pry it open with a demolition bar or screwdriver as they assume because you're driving a Raptor, you must have GOLD in there.


There are creative places to hide valuables/weaponry ect.
A safe just gives a thief a big smile, and you know the old saying.

Do you know of any other safe devices that I could put my keys, wallet and cell phone in while I’m doing outdoor activities such as surfing. I agree with you on this one. In my jeep I have a sliding drawer underneath the drivers seat and I love it. Doesn’t look possible on the raptor. I’ve seen the lock box under the rear seat but it’s huge and takes up the entire length of the back. I just need my keys, wallet and cellphone to be secure.

Have you thought about just putting your stuff in a weird place? One a their might not look. Like adding a Builtrite left rear seat fold down and hiding it back there with the sub? That seat does fold down from the factory so I bet it would get overlooked.

Regardless, if they break in they can just drive your truck away with the key in it.

A faraday bag in a lock box solves these issues. I found a company that was suggested by another member called Valultek. I just have to see if the product can be mounted in the truck. Otherwise I’m gonna have to fabricate something up.

The E&G in my gen 2 only takes half of the console space and leaves room for a tray next to it. Best of both worlds.
