Does anyone already have these installed on a Black Gen 2 with pics??? All the ones I've seen are a Blue Gen 2 and F150 Fraptors with them on. Would like to see day shot with them off or just parking lights lit.

I'm considering changing my headlights, but am still on the fence about the AlphaRex Nova Midnight Editions. I'm know I'm being a picky little b!+c#, but the OEM LED's are weak, and I don't like the White stripe surround on our headlights during the day. The surround strip on the ARx's can be lit up in Amber, and stays Black when off.

I prefer the aesthetics of the Morimoto's to the AlphaRex, but from what I've seen in online videos and reviews, the AlphaRex outperforms them by a significant margin, and the fit & finish on the Morimotos are not as good.

Thanks!

FPB here so no black, but here are the midnights with the amber drl mod. In person the amber brightness is the same as the 3 grill ambers so I'm happy with it. The stock headlights are really dim compared to these for both the actual driving lights and the amber running lights. My only kinda gripe with them is I'm not a big fan of how the that LED stripe isn't continuous like the stocks or morimotos and is broken up in the middle.

Thanks gents! I’ve heard and seen in videos the actual light output was better than OEM, but that the Amber DRL’s were not as bright as Morimoto. As long as they match the intensity of the 3 center ambers, I’m pleased to hear that. ...........and yes, the interruption of the Amber surround irks me too, but I’ll get over it

I got over it pretty fast. If you get the Alpharex lights they got the wiring diagram for doing the amber mod on the site. Just follow the directions here. https://alpharexusa.com/how-to-wire-f150-drl-to-be-amber/?v=f24485ae434a

As for the light output. These are WAY brighter than stock. Like stupid bright as compared to the stock ones and they have a pretty sharp cut off. Make sure to level them correctly or you are going to **** a bunch of people off on the road lol.

IIRC you measure from the ground to the center of the low beams. Than on flat ground go out 25ft and aim them at 2" below what you got at the truck. So if you had 34" at the low beams it would be 32" at 25ft.

lateralis,

Thanks for posting this. Appreciate the input on the output, and ESPECIALLY on the aiming!! Good info to have.

For all my brethren in the BTM(Black Trucks Matter) movement, I did find some pics of the AlphaRex mounted on a Black Raptor, thanks to j_fordraptor 's badass pics on Instagram. Great looking rig!!

When I went to 4x4LED shop in Long Island, he had these lights in his truck. I want them. BAD. But I've seen a video on the install and I doubt I could do it by myself.
