I am in the same boat, but I am thinking about a Raptor but I have to get rid of my build 03 7.3 manual, 4x4. I already have a 38r turbo, stage one injectors, fuel system, chip, gauges, the axles to put a 4 link up front... and more.

I am torn between selling my Powerstroke and getting a new Raptor.

i had a 02 7.3 extended cab that i got rid of for my raptor. micky have you drove one yet? they are awesome trucks, ride great, have all the options in the world you could ever want. i think my thing is, that i dont use it for what they are built for. i live in maryland and dont have any open dunes or places to go tear shit up. not to mention it is more of a road prince. so with all the mods to your diesel, is the power what you are wanting? if that's it, make sure you test drive one first. nothing beats a spooling turbo

One of the reasons I want to change is I don't tow enough to warrant a diesel. The turning radius on the leaf sprung front end is quite a challenge here in Ohio in parking lots. When I lived in Arizona it would have not been a big deal.

I use mine as a DD, haul kids to school, load the bed with dirt, much, yard supplies, trash, dead deer, camping gear, stuff like that. I just don't need my diesel even though I enjoy it. Heck I have the axles to convert the front end to a four link but I am still leaning twords a Raptor. I like the lockers, the fact that it turns better, ample interior room, I just like the Raptor.

I'm getting ready to be in the boat but I feel my 6.0 is slow even when it wasn't stock. But it's all relative!

I had a 6.0l PS, and loved the power until headgasket issues started. I put over $10,000 into the motor to make reliable, but I was still scared. I will hopefully be taking delivery of my 2013 Raptor in atleast October. I haven't driven one yet so to compare would be useless. I just know that diesels are lot more to maintain so I won't miss that.

yeah i said all the same things when i sold my powerstroke. didnt haul anything, maintanance cost to much, when things went wrong they went way bad. my brother does diesel perfomance work on the side so i've seen many cabs lifted off the 6.0's to do head studs, egr delets, oil coolers, injectors all that stuff, hence why i didnt want one. but after trading in my stroker for a raptor i have owned it for 2 months, barely drove it and.......... traded it in this past weeked for a 08 6.4 with 20k miles and absolutely love it all over again. Now onto all the fun stuff that makes em so great. WIN!!:rockit:

after ford did away with the leaf springs, starting in 05 til current and went with the coil spring front end they ride a lot better and turn a lot tighter. the 08 i just bought can bust u-turns like a champ

just went to my buddy yesterday about intake exhaust and tuner for the new 6.4. gonna be right around 1500$ but the end result should be about the same as you were working with. 1100 ft/lb of torque and 600+ horse. i cant wait. just cancel the order and get ya a 6.4. such a smooth awesome motor. i was questionable about the compound turbo set up but everyone ive talked to loves it. good luck
