anybody find a silution to the tailgate cap falling off ?

I have the tailgate step. after unloading a couple items it comes loose, eventually falls off ? warranty ? aftermarket ?

Did you snag it with something heavy? I nearly tore mine off unloading a heavy saw. I saw what was happening in time and got things stopped with less than an inch of deflection. It took a bite out of the facing, but it stayed on and seems secure. Barring something dramatic, you've got a warranty issue.

Mine has come loose so many times. Pretty much every time I use it I’ve just gotten used to slapping it back in place.

Mine has been fine for almost 3 years. No issues with it falling off or even coming loose.

Have the same issue on my 2017, forgot to warrantee it when it was still covered. Anyone have a part source to get a new one?
