As I get ready to purchase my 2025 Raptor R, I’m curious if anyone has any regrets with the R? I can’t imagine any, but I thought I’d ask.

I have a 23 R ordered in Aug 22, built in Mar 23 and finally delivered in Aug 23. Paid ADM and all that. Love the truck and absolutely no regrets.

Let me add - there are a number of threads discussing deletions on the 24 and 25 models that may give some interested buyers pause. I suggest looking through those and then making your own conclusion.

Outside of the keypad, the changes are purely cosmetic. However, the omissions may be a problem if you forget what you drive when opening your hood, using your key fob, and/or climbing the side steps.

As far as resale is concerned, one truck is a year older than the other.

Bought my '14 Raptor Scab new because it was the last of the V8's. I love it so much I told myself if they ever made another V8 I'd buy it. The R is an amazing truck. The suspension is unbelievable and worlds above my '14. The only thing I could have wanted is starting with more displacement than the 5.2. My fantasy would be if they could have started with - like 6 or 7 liters and then add the SC. 800 lb/ft torque anyone? One of my cars was a 8 liter Viper so you get where i'm coming from. The money is what it is - yes its expensive and I was lucky to pay MSRP - but if money is not a major issue I say go for it. Its a unique vehicle and prob a dinosaur in a few short years. Oh and I decided to keep my Gen1 SCab too - what a great truck. No Regurts.jpg
