Great info and do appreciate your time, my trailer is a 6k trailer with a 4k load capacity. I will be very careful to not exceed weight.the only time I've ever been overweight is when I was towing my jeep in the hauler, the jeep is no gone and the rzr is keeping me under 8k gvw

Its your truck that is overweight... Over axle weight, over gross vehicle weight and over gross combined vehicle weight... Your probably over the tongue weight but I am guessing at all these based on your towing 10,000 pounds... Max tow capacity of your Raptor is 8000 pounds...

24' Pace loaded (generator, battery, winch, tools, etc, with 1970 GTO tucked in). Equilizer hitch about maxed out. Pulled great, pushing the comfy limit but that is how we roll out in the midwest.

Ditched the equalizer hitch, added RPG with tow bumps, even better. Haven't tested with equalizer and RPG, but similar ride height.

Actually this is with the RPG and Tow Bumps installed, no equalizer attached.

Any other scabs here lug a 30' camper regularly? Hoping to utilize one this summer, will only need to tug it an hour or so and has the sway control equip. Supposedly under 6k loaded up, so not much more weight than the few open trailer/cars i've towed...

I chuckled at this one...The front wheels are almost coming off the ground. :lewx4:

Likely the result of the pavement drop/angle there

An even smarter attorney would point out that there is not a standard method of measuring the trailer towing capacity of a pickup. You can feel free to look it up. I know that there are a bunch of older guys that think the tow capacity of the sticker is gospel, but you don't know how it was arrived at. For instance, nearly every consumer truck manufacturer has recently started to raise their tow capacities across the board, and they are not making any significant changes in the trucks designed abilities.

In actuality there is a federal regulation that states the distance the vehicle must come to a complete stop at from 20 MPH... It is a federal standard and lacking state standards it is the minimum requirement...

Really interested in your setup. What exactly is the RPG you are talking about?

Thanks for the help.

That is the only standard that needs to be met. Incidentally, that distance for towing a trailer is 35 ft. That standard is found at Brake performance. - Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

You might have a little confusion the GVWR (2014 Raptor 7450) mine is a 2012 and is showing 8000 GVWR and according to the page you posted it is (1) Single unit vehicles having a manufacturer's GVWR of 10,000 pounds or less

stopping distance from 20 MPH is 25 feet..

but further reading..

Upon application of its emergency brake system and with no other brake system applied, a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles must, under any condition of loading in which it is found on a public highway, be capable of stopping from 20 miles per hour in a distance, measured from the point at which movement of the emergency brake control begins, that is not greater than the distance specified in the table in paragraph

But there is a standard that is applied its not a free for all on the highway, if you can move it you can tow it...
