I’m old so hopefully not repeating a prior post. My 2021 (may be 2022, not even sure omg) has 36k and starting to have issues. After a cold start on cold day, tranny will hold gears high into RPM range. Other day, in 10 degree temos, after cold start shifted into reverse and it didn’t move. I took foot off gas, shifted to drive, heard it shift, went back into reverse and was ok.
I hate to deal with any repairs even though I have Geico MBI which is excellent coverage I just may trade in.
I have the "brake hold" or whatever it's called set on mine, so it won't go until you give it some gas pedal. Sometimes it won't move after you shift from reverse to drive with your foot on the brake pedal, without a little gusto. If I'm following you correctly.

I have not yet. I think it's not required until 100K/5yr. Will most likely do it early like everything else though. Brake fluid flush is something I'll also be doing early.
I was told you can't do the brake fluid flush unless you have a OBD tool (snap on ect) so that you can activate the ABS system. They don't seem to use a MityVac but rather a fluid exchange machine that attaches to the master cylinder refill bottle. I was thinking about talking the transmission service in my driveway but might give it to the dealer or a off road shop if they are willing to actually drop the pan and change the filer. That could be a messy job.

Check your own fluid level, take photos then find a competent independent shop to do it if you don't want to do it yourself. Ford dealer screwed up the fluid level 2X on my last Raptor. I have the necessary scan tool to activate the ABS. I believe that is also in Forscan which I also have. I have the Motiv Blake bleeding setup to maintain fluid and pressure at the master cylinder while bleeding as well as catch cans to capture the old fluid. Easy peasy... actually enjoy working on brakes.

Like many of you guys, I like doing many of the maintenance items myself. Has anyone with an extended warranty claim been denied if you’re not having the maintenance services done by Ford ?

No, just make sure you document mileage and keep receipts and you should be good. They can't deny you for doing maintenance yourself unless you do something during the maintenance that causes the failure.

Careful following me. You can get a bad reputation. lol. No, not brake hold as I did give it gas and it didn’t move.

The 10 speed is very fluid/temp picky. I've always noticed harsh/clunky shifts when the trans temps are cold. I always let it warm up as much as I can before heading down the road. Motor warms up quick, but the transmission sometimes takes 25 miles of driving to get to 185 degrees. These tend to run better at higher temps. I've also heard that many were underfilled from the factory...not saying that's your issue, but could attribute to the issues cold you're describing.
Ty. Sorry, I’m not mechanically inclined so 2 questions. What is IWE? And how can I check the tranny fluid? Is there a dipstick for it? Ty.

IWE=Integrated Wheel Ends. Basically it's what engages the hub during 4A/4H/4L. Yes there's a transmission dipstick, but it's a stubby one on the passenger side above the transmission pan. 19MM cap comes off then you can access the dipstick. Kinda stupid design, but not too hard to access. I typically take my skid plate off to get to it as well.

One nice thing about highway miles lol. My 2017 with 81k miles was still on original brake pads.
My 23 still has a lot of life left at 57k

Any chance of a picture of this dip stick so I know how to read it when I pull it? I've read posts of transmission fluid being low from the factory that's why I wanted to check it myself during oil changes. I want to get a flush also. Maybe no need to change the filter just yet at 45k.
