Do you guys have any recommendations or advice on dealerships in LA county?

I've been looking around like Galpin and Power Ford in Valencia. I would like to get your input as to where I should be getting my raptor.

Thanks in advance.

Never go to south bay ford, in torrance on PCH. They put +$50,000 extra charge for nothing and they didnt let me test drive, maybe because i look young looking asian boy. Anyway, I highly recommend you not going there. There are plenty of better dealers.
If you purchase from the dealer lot, i think Cerritos ford has one or two. Justin was very helpful guy there and try to be honest i think.
I also think there are two long beach dealers and they have some, when i checked few weeks ago, but i havent been there yet.
And last, I order my raptor and am still waiting from 101 ford in Korean town. They offered me best price, but i cant recommend until they hand over keys of my Raptor.

If you have any questions, send me PM or reply. I dont wanna put too much info of commercial businesses on public.

Easy answer - get it wherever you can get the best deal! CALL all the Ford dealerships in SoCal and ask for the Internet salesperson. Telll them the options you want and they'll give you a price. Then take the best price you get and go back to another dealership and ask them to beat it by $500 or $1,000 and you'll quickly find the bottom. Then choose the dealer you want to buy from and ask them to match or beat the lowest price you've gotten. You never have to go into any dealership except the one you decide to buy from. You do all your work on the phone and save hours of visiting dealerships and the games they play.

By the way, this strategy could deliver limited success with a limited availability vehicle like the Raptor. You can get a low price from most any dealer but you'll need to make sure they'll get you the truck in a reasonable amount of time <Edit: if they don't have one on the lot you want or if they're going to make a dealer trade for the Raptor you do want. >

I just picked up my Raptor yesterday from Vista Ford in Woodland Hills. $3200 under MSRP on a 6.2L. I blanketed all the socal dealers that showed black or blue 6.2's in stock. I had a very hard time getting dealers to budge down on price. The only lower price I was offered was on ordering one.

This dealer had a black one and seemed willing to deal:

Edmunds.com is a good place to look for tips & tricks when dealing. They have lots of good inside articles (they also explain the racism you mentioned). Villa Ford in Orange will give you a good deal if you haggle for 3-4 hours like I did. They also have a few black 5.4s and a white 6.2 on thier lot right now. Dont go to them for service though

You probably could have avoided spending those hours haggling if you did all your negotiations with the internet sales guy over the phone and by email.

And MMC Racing mentioned getting his Raptor from Vista Ford in Woodland Hills.

Try and talk to Bill D'Amore at Galpin Ford. He sold me my Raptor for invoice when he was with Puente Hills Ford.

Thank you for all the advice guys.

I'll take Dan's advice about the calling dealerships and i just might get my Raptor at Vista Ford. Seems like you guys have been getting lucky over at Vista.
Hopefully I'll be joining you guys on some Raptor Runs by 2011. (I'm stilling trying to save up for a large down payment.)

Random question but do you any raptors in the Sunland - Tujunga area? I seen a black one parked on a street, a white one in a parking lot, and a blue driving to burbank...
I'm soooo jealous of you guys in your raptors.

I drive through the canyon quite often. I have SVTOffroad business cards with this/our URL on them. If I see those Raptors I'll leave a card on them. Where are you located?

And MMC Racing mentioned getting his Raptor from Vista Ford in Woodland Hills, our very own XJRguy got his Raptor there (and his GT500) as he's been very pleased with their wilingness to make deals.

It wasnt a planned purchase - the dealer is by the bank and I just wanted to look at it up close. If you consider my trade in (99 F-250 SD) as being given awaw for free, I got 10k off sticker
