I've had this same thought even though I live in the cooler N'west. I hate heat-soaking my equipment, when she goes in the garage, the hood goes up. Try to park facing the wind when outside. But...that hood vent seems to be a ******** to get off. Held on with both clips and double-sided tape from what I read in another thread (can't remember which). Not sure that juice is worth all the squeeze to get it done. Then I'd want to enlarge the openings in the hood sheet metal to boot. What I'd really like is some little fans on a timer on each fender vent. Wire into a upfitter switch and they'd run x 20 min once activated just to pull a little heat out of the engine bay say when I park in a garage/building w/no air flow.
