Ordered the stubby from amazon.
Im guessing installation is just unscrewing and rescrewing the new one?

Thats what I have but I can't tell you how the range is since I usually listen to Sirius. Looks good though.

Went to AutoZone on the way home and picked up a 13inch antenna for the truck. Reception is exactly the same plus I now pick up some stations that are static inside the garage. Still get HD too.

It was only $10. WIN!

I have a cravenspeed bullet. they dont make them anymore. the reception sucks but it looks killer. Plus I listen to satellite radio or my iPod.

I got this one too, and it works great! Plus, it even says "Raptor" on the packaging!

I needed something shorter to fit in my garage. I wanted to try buying something before cutting the factory antenna, but the craven stubby just looks too stubby for me. I picked up this rubber "shorty" from Autozone. Reception is very good, and I'm in the middle of nowhere.

My only complaint is that it's a little floppy. It really bends back toward the cab at highway speeds. But I don't mind, because it resumes normal shape when I stop. I put the slight bend in it you can see, by holding it bent a few seconds.
