Welp, I was one of the few waiting on their LFG 2021 build and finally got notification it was delivered to the railyard this week waiting for transport. Was just called to be told that the truck was broken into at the railyard and suffered "extensive damage". Rep just found out and didn't have additional info for me. He was told that the radio was ripped out, the AC unit, and "other parts of the truck were damaged". He didn't seem to get the impression it was salvageable, but who knows. So much for the LFG color though...

For those who have had their ordered vehicles totaled in transit, what has your dealer or Ford done for you? Besides the color and options, pricing has obviously gone up YoY.

Damn, extensive damage? Sounds like ADM from Joe Blow wins again!

The guy who had his totaled recently - his regional rep put a high priority foot up the @$$ to get a replacement. I thought I read today the new truck has already shipped.

Well welcome to the club! looks like you are in the same situation as me and a couple of other forum members. April 6 I got a call that my 22 I had on order was totaled (total loss) in transit!
Zone rep told dealer to have me place a new order and he will prioritize. I haven’t received any info since about the status of the replacement yet? It’s good to hear the other guy that had his totaled had his delivered to dealer! I hope my truck will get built as fast as that?? Will see….

Update:

Ford still hasn't delivered the vehicle to the dealer nor have they shared any info about the truck such as pictures or the state it's in from the break-in. Been three weeks now despite the dealership group's ownership getting the regional zone rep involved. The dealer is rather annoyed and at this point just recommend ordering a 2022 with priority status. They said they will price protect me even if Ford doesn't.

So I'll probably order a white one this go around, and add pro-power since it wasn't a singular option in '21 builds.

Pretty frustrating all the way around, but have to move on at some point.

No need to cry over spilled milk. It is what it is. Like you said, you gotta press on!

Figured I'd provide an update:

About two weeks ago the dealer contacted me with a "you're not going to believe this" type of message. The original truck showed up on their lot without notice and fully fixed. Apparently Ford sent an appraiser down to the trainyard, and then sent it to an official body shop to have it repaired. Dealer wasn't told about any of this till the week the truck arrived. I saw the insurance estimate, it only listed the 4 plastic pieces surrounding the info screen in the middle. That's it. Just those four parts and labor. No exterior damage, no "other" damage inside. Meanwhile my reorder with level 1 priority status was already being built at the time I was told the gray truck showed up. Out of skepticism, I passed on the gray 2021 build. I love the color, but I don't like the storyline leading up to its arrival to the dealer. Dealer sold the gray one that day when I passed on it.

My white 2022 is being shipped as of this week. Now I get to decide what to do with my gray 2022 Bronco...

Why do you have a bronco and a raptor? No shame just legit can't fathom it.

lol well I had my Bronco reservation within the first hour it opened back in 2020. After being pushed to 2022 due to my spec sheet, the order was placed for it last Fall and then realized I wanted a Raptor so I ordered that thereafter. Bronco is really cool, but the interior volume isn't enough (have about 3600 miles on it). I've debated keeping both, but I'll probably sell the Bronco considering they still sell above MSRP in the used market.
