Welcome. What part of west Texas?

Yes bumps are a must. A good example is we had a guy in our raptor group decide he wasn't going to pay a little hard on our El Paso trip and caused a little over 5k worth of damage to his truck. He had a bump stop kit ordered just decided he would be ok without it one time.

Check out our Facebook group South Plains Area Raptor Krew when you get a chance.

Welcome from Houston!

Your need for bump stops is determined solely by your right foot and knowledge of the terrain you are on. I have attended several Raptor events with a completely stock truck (plus some off-roading on my own) with no frame issues. If you want to go harder than what the truck is capable of stock (based on your mods, I am guessing the answer to that is yes) than a bump stop kit would be a worthwhile investment.
