well, The Jr sits on top of the canister and does not take up more space in your bed than the roll canister itself which is about 8"x8".

The larger box pushes the canister forward and thus takes up more bedspace.

So the question becomes, how much bed space do you want to sacrifice?

But with either one I think you will have the toughest and best retractable cover on the market IMO.

I've been leaning towards the jr....

Thanks for the reply. Been looking at a lot of options. Good to know its a good choice

Any idea how much it should cost for order/install. The first quote it got is around 2800 for the jr. Seems a bit strep

Holy cow, I have not priced the TCUSA ones with the tool box. I did just get a quote on the covers without a tool box though.

2 quotes, one was $1599 installed and the other was $1799 installed and that included the factory yakima rail mounts so I can install their rack system. They are not cheap but they are GSA govt approved and used on military vehicles. They are very well built in the USA and probably why they cost more than others. Its a heavy duty cover and I like the textured finish on them better than the glossy black finish on the RetraxPro models.

I have the work cover Jr. and the box is -very- small. Make sure it meets your needs. Overall I am very happy with the cover but it's the first roll top I have owned. I also have the Yakima rack option but have not had a reason to use thus far.

Did you install it yourself? How much did you end up spending?

As much as I would like to keep a box in the bed of my truck, I may just get the american work cover without a box.

I paid for the install - combination of Norcal price & labor made this very expensive [Mike's Truck, Santa Clara]. Because of the price perhaps, the shop did not have a lot of experience with this particular brand and they found it challenging to install and adjust compared to the other covers they carry.
