The shipping to HI will make yours much more expensive to him, unless you are willing to ship it for free! ;)
I shipped a full-size SUV to Kauai a few years back. It was expensive but under $2k from what I recall. Shipping from a west coast port will be cheapest (mine went from Seattle and then went to LA when I left the island).

Shipped from Long Beach is quoted at about $1800.

My buddy is staying in the mainland for 2 months to get a trx from Florida to avoid adm n driving across country n shipping it back. I don’t have the time or money he has unfortunately. LOL he’s crazy but he makes crazy money too. If I could I would do the same. I feel like I’m getting a decent deal if I can get it around $71-72k with everything that’s on it.

Feel your pain. That Avalanche Grey Raptor was sweet AF.

Been looking for awhile found a couple 20’ raps on mainland with low mileage but with shipping I’ll be around or over where I’m at on this one and saves me the time of flying up to make sure it’s all good etc also jus want something already n test drove this one. I wrecked my 17 couple months ago n ready to get another asap

Pulled the trigger on my Gen1 because of the fact it was local and I could have my guy verify it was solid.

I hear ya. Gen3 has not grown on me yet, it's getting there, and for 73k on an 18 or say 85k on a 21, a 21 would grow a lot faster on me. lol

Used truck market stateside is stupid as well.

Vehicles in general are stupid expensive nowadays. Maybe I should sell my Gen1...what am I thinking!

If you plan on staying in HI then I’d say go for it. Pay that Hawaii inflation and just have fun. It’s got super low miles too.

but if you plan on leaving anytime soon I’d say don’t. When I lived there I found as long as you sell something on the island you were ok paying the high price for it, cause you could charge a high price as well.

Smiles per gallon are more important than price. Buy it and go have fun. You could have possibly died in the last wreck. Why wait for fate to tempt you again. LIVE LIFE!

I shipped my brother-in-laws 7 series BMW from LA to Honolulu several years back and I think it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.5-3k. The Raptor will probably be alittle more due to size and weight. One thing to keep in mind is that trucks are highly sought after in HI and it would be pretty easy to get your money back out of the truck so I wouldn't rule out shipping one. If you happen to find a nice truck on the mainland you could always drive it to LA or Long Beach port then fly home. That truck does have alot of Mods already so if that was the route you were going to go with truck anyway then it might be worth simply trying to deal on that truck that's already there. But shipping a vehicle over to HI is really not that big of deal breaker anymore.

Ya shipping isn’t the killer but if I’m spending that kinda money I wanna touch it drive it feel it look it over etc. or have a very good friend do it for me. Tried to make a deal with someone n was going to book a flight n set up everything n they wanted a $1000 deposit a private buyer who I don’t know. I told em I would send him my itinerary everything to show I was serious n he said no. So jus been havin some challenges. I def have tried to work some mainland deals n jus exhausted with the bs

Yeah, that guy sounded like a fool, out to steal your cash more like it. That's like sending money to a girl on a dating site that you haven't even met, wtf??
