I want to put foglights on my truck but have read so many bad reviews for Rigid & M&R.

The M&R seem to get loose over time which would make me crazy, the Rigid lights have a horrible mounting solution that requires drilling into the frame and then all I hear are reports that the bracket rubs against the bumper or sticks out due to the bumper shifting...

Are there any other options out there?

M&R

If anyone has any issues with M&R they get rapidly adressed. There should not be bad kits out there, if there are these individuals have not reached out to us.

Maybe that's why. I've heard of a couple people mention rigid's seal issue but never heard it from the actual person.

This thread had me worried about the Rigid, the bumper issues are presented in the pictures (bracket sticks out of hole). I also read several other posts about the bumper shifting over time and causing the fog light hole to rub/grind against the bracket for the lights. Not a Rigid issue but clearly something to have to deal with. I also don't like having to drill into my truck for the mounts.

The M&R issue i'm worried about is addressed here:

Youtube video posted by squatting dog.

If this issue has been addressed, i'd gladly order the M&R due to the much better mounting bracket solutions.

Received the replacement fog light kit and the coating looks better... Everything delivered as promised by M&R..

I consider this issue resolved and M&R has meet its obligation of replacing defective lights..

That bad batch was eliminated from the warehouse. Check out the first post by Squatting Dog

The video was posted 8/18/2013 and he mentions those loose lights are the second set (replacement ones). The update was posted in 4/10/2013, so it appeared to me that the new ones had the issues with not being able to be tightened.

Not trying to start any trouble, I really want these lights assuming I wont run into those issues with the wobbly lights. Like I said, the mounting plate for them looks perfect and easy to install.

**edit:

Someone just responded to that thread in the M&R forums and said a locknut + locktite fixed his issue. Sounds like I will go with these then.
