I'm stuck between a Flowmaster super 40 or super 44. Which one do y'all think I should get for my raptor? What do y'all think the differences between them are?

THANKS! :)

I would say the 44's are a littler deep tone.

Be sure to check out the flowmastermufflers.com web site and listen to their sound clips.

I had the Super 44 and recently had it taken out. The drone was way too much...and not in a good way. The muffler sounded amazing under acceleration and even at idle. But if you do any driving around 65-75mph the drone will get to you.

Cranking up the stereo or rolling the windows down will help. I went with a weld in Borla and its perfect now. Still throaty but no drone.

If you decision is only between those two I would recommend the 40, only because I know it will be quieter in the cabin when cruising.

I have a 40 series and LovE it! No drone, quiet enough on the freeway to not make you pull your hair out but loud under hard acceleration. It def turns heads driving through town when you stomp on it!

I use to be big on sound . . . back in the 'muscle-car day' . . before most of you were born.

But, or should i say Butt . . cause everyone has one . .

I'd rather be able to speak softly in the cabin,
while knowing, :birgits_tiredcoffeethere is Still - a big stick under the hood. :Caffeine:

Definitely, I ran ****** headers straight into cherry bombs, no pipes and would occasionally run straight headers. Probably why I can't hear anything now:peace:

I have the FM 50 on my truck. Its just a smuge better than stock, but that is where I want to be. If you are looking at a 40 vs 44. 44 is loud/and nice but 40 is much more in the middle (I cant speak to the drone). If I wasn't hauling around the family I would have went with the 40.
