So your dealer confirmed the Raptor R (GT500 powered)? If so that is incredible.I got the call from my dealer today....it'll break my heart to turn loose of my beloved OG Raptor, but a Raptor R appears to be in my future...
He says it usually takes a couple months for the new models to show up after they get the official debut, so late spring to early summer looks promising.

My dealer confirmed the same. Big supercharged V8.
I know the 5.2 is not big, but much more appealing than the 3.5.5.2L is not big LOL. Potent yes! Then again is it the 5.2L from the GT500? I would imagine they had to retune it for the heavy truck. The GT500 motor’s powerband seems more tailored to the Mustang. It’s going to be interesting to find out.

If In fact it is the GT500 engine, I wonder if it will have the twin clutch from it as well. I guess next Wednesday is the day. All fingers are pointing that we do have a Supercharged V8 Raptor coming though.
Im putting my money on the 10 speed from the super duty.Dual clutch? I doubt they are pulling that whole GT500 power train as is and putting it into the Raptor, but how would I know. I really don’t know if that dual clutch would work in the Raptor product.
There may be more knowledgeable people within the forum to say if that would even work for this heavy off road truck.
