So you just spray on rinse off or do you scrub??

The advice will vary depending on the equipment, soaps, level of contamination on the surface and individual preferences. I have ppf, ceramic coat and despite this, I try and get it as soapy as possible, use 2-bucket system for microfiber sponge to slightly agitate, then pressure wash rinse (1100 psi and 40 degree nozzle) followed by a blow dryer. Idea is to have minimal touching of the paint by towels, etc... For me, it speeds up the washing of the vehicle and although I spend more time in assembling all the equipment, supplies, etc.., the actual time spent washing is cut down

Just bought a Chemical Guys Foam Cannon and Cleaning Supplies on Amazon Prime Days.

Can't wait to try them out.

Any tips?

Also bought a BUF504X TORQR Rotary Polisher. Anyone have any experience with it?

You will need to hand wash a driven truck, just using the foam cannon and a rinse isn't going to work.

As a few above posted, it does help get the party started right...pressure wash, foam, hand wash, rinse...done.

I'm not a detail nut but my process is as follows:

- pressure rinse
- foam spray
- let the foam sit for 5-10 mins or until it's run off
- pressure rinse
- air dry

This is works well enough for a daily driven truck. It's not perfect, but it gets it clean without using mitts and towels which eventually lead to swirls and streaks. I want to keep it as no- touch as possible

You do spray on, let it run off, then spray down. Idea, if not always reality, is foam transports dirt off paint on to ground. But then either 2 bucket method is required with light, not scrubbing, strokes. I have seen, though not tried it, a slightly different and probably safer for the paint method. That’s to use about five or six wash mitts. This way you clean one or two panels at most with one mitt, throw it in the “used” bucket and don’t rely on rinsing it in rinse bucket, even with grit guard, to ensure mitt has no embedded dirt which can scratch. That’s if you’re **** as many of us, me included.

As to comment above, regardless of daily driven or not, you can spray a dirty vehicle with foam and water pressure from a pressure washer until the cows come home and it will not come out clean without agitation with a mitt. Been there done that a few times. Even a light coating of everyday dust and dirt will not be removed. I don’t care if you foam it 10 times. Then if you air dry (and I have a master blaster also) all you are doing is drying a still dirty vehicle.

Alright, I'll bite. This was from last Thursday; Picked up the Chemical Guys torq foam cannon as a prime day deal (amazed they had something I wanted to buy). The soap was a little thinner than I was hoping, but still way better than what I was using before. I'll have to play around with the mixture more.

I’ve not had a chance to hit the Raptor yet. My daily is a company van so most of my detail time is spent on the girlfriends. Honeydew Snowfoam with a cheap and compact Ryobi electric.
