IMO it's mostly a feature that few will really benefit from.

Make decisions on shock purchase based on other, more important performance issues.

Not sure if you have experienced a shock with these on them, but I think it would be a common response to say "it's mostly a feature that few will really benefit from." for those who haven't. I personally think it is a great feature considering you feel the truck kicking or bottoming out on a day or weekend trip, and you are able to make a huge improvment in 1-2 minutes max with no tools. It's not that easy with standard valves to adjust so people tend to say forget that and leave it as it may take you 15 - 30 minutes. Plus if you need to go back because you went to far, well you get it, that's 2 adjustments in a quarter of the time. The detended knobs allow you also to easily know where you are at so you can log good setups for particular situations if you chose. We provide a guide with explanation as to what each tube does, along with a chart of general situation settings so even the beginner can work on tuning the shocks for their setup and on or off road situations to be faced. As mentioned there is no doubt in my mind many will prefer different settings on and off road considering 85-90 percent of the owners must use this as their daily driver. Just flat more convenient I would say. But that is our opinion, there is no doubt everyone is entitled to theirs as well.

total cost

To do a total revamp of the suspension front shocks, rear shocks, leaf springs, and bump stops must cost around 12 to 14 k? Seems most people think the rear is the weak link and start there.

Yeah like Huck said closer to 8 probably... And most vendors will likely give you a nice package discount!

I was disappointed with the Fox shocks especially the rears, they felt like they could not keep up on highways with expansion joints or roads that were frost cracked. I felt like a human bobble head rolling down the road, anyway with the Icon that all went away.

I haven't played around with the rear ICONs enough to know for sure, but as for the fronts, even around town there is a remarkable difference in the ride when you go from "S" to "H". Like many others, I keep mine on the "S" (soft) setting on the road and have been very happy with the ride. The springs are definitely stiffer than stock but there's a lot more shock there to dampen any harshness you might mentally associate with a stiffer spring. Stiffer does not mean more harsh. I went from my 2010 @ top perch and 20" wheels to my 2013 with 18" wheels and ICONs and it's like a Cadillac in comparison. Plus that "bobble head" feeling you experience with the factory Fox shocks over expansion joints or rutted roads doesn't occur with the ICONs.

Is anybody running ICON front and rear shocks with RPGs National springs? The progressive springs seem like am awesome improvement but I'm curious how they work with something they weren't designed with...

I have ICONs front and rear and RPG stage 3 with National SD leafs. Works great. As one might expect, my preferred compression and rebound settings are a little different than ICON's recommended settings.

FYI, love the ability to quickly adjust the rears.
