After 5 years of carefully backing into my garage, I finally took out the passenger side mirror

Had the truck in sport mode and went to gently hit the gas, and the truck jumped and the passenger side mirror hit the house :(. $54 dollars from eBay and about an hour of work and she is all fixed. 2 of the 4 tabs of my mirror cap were broken, and that is $300 painted, so I did a little repair with hot glue and super glue.

The black surround is what broke. Thankfully not the mechanized mirror assembly

All the main parts of the mirror are still in great shape.

You know you can fold your mirrors in when backing up…
Of course. But I need the mirror to align the bed rail with the wall. Some times I pull it in, most times I don't.

I'll take a 25 minute repair and $54 1 x every 5 years.
