Well, I bit the bullet and bought the aFe exhaust for about $450 shipped.

It's 409 Stainless, slip fit and overall pretty good quality. I didn't want to pay a lot for an exhaust knowing I was probably going to chop it up or destroy it off-roading at some point.

I ended up chopping it so it dumps over the axle instead of out the stock location.

the exhaust is probably the quietest aftermarket cat-back I've heard on a Raptor to date. The truck doesn't have much rumble at idle and no drone during highway driving, infact under normal driving the only thing letting you know that you even have an aftermarket cat back on is the pitch & tone of the exhaust. When you are on the gas and under load the exhaust is much more baritone and crisp. It's almost exotic sounding compaired most throaty sounding after market cat backs. Personally I'm glad its not loud and actually was worried it would be since there aren't any reviews of this system. I spend a lot of time on the radio while at events so it's nice that I won't have to talk over the drone of the exhaust.

Pics to follow.

Your profile says your engine is the 5.4L which makes this a great review for me to know. I haven't gotten a lot of feedback on the aFe for the 5.4L Raptor.

I've been running it for a few days now and it has gotten slightly louder at idle, but still very quiet compared to other exhaust systems. Even under load the sound isn't obnoxious and at speed the tire & lightbar wind noise is greater than the exhaust.
